Our story
Our beginnings
Classic Carpentry and Electrical Ltd. was opened in the spring of 2000 by Paul and Mike Groot. The brothers decided to combine their skills to form a unique company that could provide excellent service, experience, and value especially in the carpentry and electrical trades. Mike, a Master Electrician at the time, had 12 years of electrical experience in both residential and industrial settings while Paul, also a licensed electrician, as well as a skilled carpenter, had 10 years of experience in renovation and furniture construction.
Initially, they ran their business out of a small workshop in Mike's garage and their grey Classic cube van loaded with all their tools. They took this “shop on wheels” from job to job and site to site, building on their experience and gaining new skills while providing their customer's with exceptional work and service. Renovations, additions, new construction — they tackled and completed projects of all kinds throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Transitions to today
In their travels, the brothers recognized the need for a company that would “take care of a job from start to finish”, especially involving kitchens and bathrooms. They decided to get into custom cabinetry. Not only could they do the renovations, new constructions, and installations, they provided customers with well-built cabinets, including built-ins.
Since then they have expanded their workshop and added an adjoining showroom at 346 Marf Avenue in Mississauga.

Throughout all of these exciting transitions, one thing stayed true: Classic's high standards which are achieved and maintained because Paul or Mike supervises each project personally. Paul and Mike endeavor to provide each customer with exceptional quality, professional service, and value for their money. A large percentage of Classic's business is repeat customers and referrals: a testament to the company's success at achieving customer satisfaction.
